Subaru flying start to 2012 with sales up 86.6 per cent during February when compared with 2011.
The striking all new Subaru XV compact crossover, arrived at dealers at the start of February and has proved to be an instant hit. The Subaru 60 strong dealer network have reported high levels of interest in the XV model. The February rise follows a 24 per cent climb in sales during January.
Every XV is equipped with two core Subaru technologies – Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a Boxer engine – ensuring that this new vehicle feels both engaging and incredibly safe to drive, in all conditions. Official results show the XV to be the safest car in its segment with a five-star EuroNCAP rating and the highest child protection score of any car in the UK.
XV combines style and functionality with generous levels of standard-fit equipment, making it more than a match for its established compact crossover rivals. Priced from £21,295, the 11-model XV range offers three equipment levels – S, SE and SE Lux Premium – a choice of 114ps 1.6 and 150ps 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 147ps and 350Nm, with five and six-speed manual or a six-speed CVT automatic transmission, depending on model.

Also aiding the Subaru Flying Start in sales is the carmaker’s new three-year ETCo programme, the most comprehensive three-year aftercare package currently on offer drivers in the UK, offering a host of potential benefits worth over £7,000, free-of-charge.
ETCo comprises 11 different elements, all designed to make running and driving a new Subaru easier and more beneficial than ever before. The comprehensive package includes minor dent and scratch repairs, alloy wheel repairs, monthly wash ‘n’ vac, lost key replacement, and service collection and delivery.
