Fiat’s rugged new capable Panda 4×4

Part of the incredible Fiat Panda story – 30 years, 6.5 million cars – the first version of the 4×4 version was released in 1983.

This latest, third generation, range starts at £13,950 OTR for the 0.9 TwinAir 85hp 4×4, rising to £14,950 OTR for the 1.3 16v MultiJet 4×4 diesel version. The two-wheel drive Trekking starts at £12,450 OTR for the TwinAir version and £13,450 for the MultiJet.

New Panda 4×4 is the off-road version of the new Panda and offers a captivating mix of excellent on-road manners with off-road sure-footedness, thanks to its permanent four-wheel drive system. The attractive car features body-coloured ‘4×4 style’ bumpers with satin aluminium finished skid-plate, roof rails, side mouldings with ‘4×4’ logo, black wheel arches and side skirts, 15-inch dark alloy wheels and raised ground clearance suspension.

Inside, the Panda 4×4 benefits from twin-coloured seats, coloured dashboard, door panels in coloured ‘eco-leather’, and a gloss black instrument surround. Trekking models get a similar treatment, but with a black skid-plate instead of satin aluminium and lighter finish alloy wheels.

The full engine line-up comprises the award-winning TwinAir 0.9-litre petrol (85hp), giving the Panda 4×4 a top speed of 103mph (Trekking 106mph), official Combined Cycle fuel consumption of 57.6mpg (61.4mpg) and a CO₂ figure of 114g/km (105g/km). The MultiJet (75hp) can reach 99mph (100mph), returns 60.1mpg (67.3mpg) and has a CO₂ figure of 125g/km (109g/km).
