Have you already been thinking of your new wheels this year?
We’re you a little frugal in January and February with the thought of treating yourself and splashing out on one of this years’ most hotly anticipated rides. When the Geneva motor show comes round in March, it gives you the chance to really make your decision.
Here are some of our favourites amongst the most desirable cars of the year. So grab your cash, check them out and get a competitive car insurance quote, it’s time to treat yourself.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class (around £63,000) – Our top luxury car
It’s set to launch this summer, and it’s getting even more upmarket. The two things we’re taking away from the firm’s newest version of their flagship model is technology and weight saving. Starting with the later, expect to see a lot more aluminium; and when it comes to the former you’ll find on-board cameras to read the road and adjust the suspension accordingly. Roll on summer we say.
Jaguar F-Type (around £58,000) – Our top performance car
Whenever a new Jag is coming out, it’s always one of the year’s most eagerly awaited cars; and to be honest this year is no different. You’ll see a touch of the iconic E-Type from this car, but other than that they’ve gone all modern. From May, three models will be flying out the doors of the factory, offering the likes of a supercharged 3.0 V6 petrol engine, and a 5.0 V8; as well as a coupe version to follow in June. We literally can’t wait for this to drop.
Citroen DS3 Cabrio (£15,000) – Our top convertible
When it comes to coupes and convertibles, for loads of us out there it’s all about having fun. It’s also great when the price isn’t too astronomical either. The DS3 Cabrio is the only car on our list to be out already and it’s causing a bit of a stir. The biggest fun factor here is customisation, as drivers can choose their individual roof fabrics, as well as the colours for the body, door mirrors and wheels. We just love the electrical roof, which opens while moving up to around 70mph – it only takes 16 seconds too. It also looks pretty cool.
Some of our other favourites set to drop this year include the new BMW 4 series, the Skoda Octavia, and the Vauxhall Adam (that’s just because we like the name to be honest).
What will you go for? Will you be splashing the cash or keeping things sensible?
