The New Ford Mustang is open for orders in Europe, for the first time in its 50 year history. “…for some people, the new Mustang is the car they have waited for their whole lives.”
Ford websites have been flooded with a stampede of nearly 500,000 versions of the iconic pony car being specified and priced. During the first week more Mustangs were specced than any other Ford model.
Things have changed, around half of the cars were selected to be powered by the more sensible 314PS 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, the out and out street racers, still elected for the 418PS 5.0-litre powerplant.
The most selected colours in the UK were Race Red and Deep Impact Blue. Across Europe it was s similar story apart from Spain and Italy where black is very popular.
In my dreams, a Ford Mustang, race red, ebony leather interior, shaker pro sound system and nav, climate controlled seats and big fat alloys would look great on the driveway, lets see how the year pans out, on the V8 or EcoBoost.
