The Abarth sporting 595 Competizione now comes with a 20hp power hike to 180hp and maximum torque of 250Nm at 2500rpm, with a top speed of 140mph. If performance is your bag, this car certainly doesn’t hang about, with performance not too far off the hottest John Cooper Works MINI with a significant price difference.
The new cars specced to the max, feature a throaty ‘Record Monza’ exhaust, 17 inch titanium alloy wheels, Brembo brakes with red callipers, leather sports steering wheel, Sabelt sports seats, Xenon headlamps, aluminium pedals and rear parking sensors.
Further options include leather sports seats, electric glass sunroof, an Interscope audio system and even more ways to customise the car.
Previously the Abarth 595 Competizione was offered with 160hp, with the further 20hp teased out by the Abarth engineers the car still returns a reasonable 48.7 mpg on the Combined Cycle.
The new car will also be available as a cabriolet version and all cars come with manual or (MTA) automatic transmissions.
Pricing and availability: The Abarth 595 Competizione is available now. Priced from £19,890 OTR (£21,190 MTA version) for the hatchback and £21,890 OTR (£23,190 MTA version) for the Cabriolet version.
