At Mercedes Benz World Mauro Carlo proved his skill breaking the World Record for the longest drift
[portfolio_slideshow include=”4345,4347,4344″]I thought I had the record on Need For Speed but now the existing record has been totally smashed by 394 metres, the total distance he achieved was 2308 metres. The chosen venue for the longest car drift attempt was the Handling Circuit at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey. The track provides an almost 360 degree circle of tarmac. Mauro managed to drive a Mercedes 8 laps to break the record. Mauro Carlo is not a stranger to Mercedes-Benz World as he works as a professional driver at the venue and drives in the dynamic silver arrows display.
Andrew Mallery, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Commercial Operations Director, added: “When Mauro approached us to hold his record breaking attempt on the circuit at Mercedes-Benz World we were happy to offer him the support. He has been a valuable member of the driving experience team for several years and is a respected driver in the industry, so there was no doubt he would achieve his aim”.
