As part of the E-Type Jaguars 50th anniversary celebrations we went along to Silverstone on the 20-22 July 2011. Amongst thousands of classic cars from other clubs over 1000 iconic E-type Jags took centre stage at the Silverstone Classic
More than 800 of Britains favourite sportscars took part in a special parade on the full 3.6-mile Grand Prix circuit, creating a massive E-type traffic jam. The final number of cars in the parade will be notified to Guinness World Records and the outcome is to be confirmed.

To once again mark the 50th anniversary of e-type the Goodwood’s Fordwater Trophy will feature a grid exclusively made up of Jaguar E-types of a type that raced up to 1966. The race will be a real classic. A 45 minute long two-driver race, with pit lane driver changes between 15 and 30 minutes. So if you missed Silverstone this is worth a visit.
