Revealed the exterior of the New Kia PV5 Passenger and PV5 Cargo Vans
The van market in the UK has forever been owned by white van, Ford and particularly some of the European brands, including Citroen, Renault and VW. What Kia is bringing to market will shake it up with something refreshing and electric.
The Kia PV5 will be offered in three contemporary geometric body styles, offering modular solutions that are dependent on customer requirements; expect some futuristic innovation here. Bold signature lighting will give a modern look to the angular designs.
Initially, they have planned, base models of the All-Electric PV5 Passenger van and PV 5 Cargo variants. Today, they have unveiled the exterior designs ahead of an EV event in Tarragona, Spain, this week.
The concepts redefine what we expect from a van built using the new PBV – Platform Beyond Vehicle platform. Over time, we can expect some more original thinking from Kia, as the concept videos show.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, said, “This is an incredibly exciting time for Kia, as we build an entirely new commercial business to deliver world-class electric vans to UK customers.
“Our first electric van, the PV5, arrives at an important time for the UK, amid an unprecedented transition towards electric power across both the car and van markets. Our strategy is to approach the market confidently but responsibly, launching in a phased and progressive manner to ensure each element of our commercial vehicle business is exacted with the same industry-leading standards we’re known for in the passenger car industry. This will cover dealer sales excellence, customer care, service and experience.”
“Together with our industry-leading seven-year warranty that will apply to all our vans, we are confident that our new LCV range will help businesses across the country achieve their carbon reduction goals while importantly never compromising logistical requirements.
Looking Forward: 2025 Kia EV Day
Kia is hosting its 2025 EV Day in Tarragona, Spain, on February 24. Different model variants and options will be presented alongside its vision for the segment. The detailed design and product features of the PV5 will be officially unveiled on February 27, with a promotional video to be shared on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel in March.
