Customers are able to choose from a wide-ranging palette of colours and trim. The cars can even be matched to a full-size Aston already in the family. Nicholas Mee & Co. already has cars in stock, for ‘road testing’ or immediate delivery.
The 2500mm x 1030mm ‘DB Convertible Junior’ has a a 110cc, four-stroke petrol engine with key-operated electric start. Like any high performance car up front, it has Brembo disc brakes and a semi-automatic (3-speed) gearbox. An ample top speed – which is restricted and can be set lower – is 46mph. The composite bodywork sits on a sturdy steel box-section chassis. The young driver will have full use of indicators and even lights, probably a good thing, no sound system comes as standard….
