Long time Ferrari fan, Eric Clapton, legendary rock musician has now had a one-off car built and named after him. Clapton a keen Ferrari enthusiast has now had the Ferrai SP12 EC built to celebrate his career. In collaboration with Centro Stile Ferrari/Pininfarina and engineers from Maranello.
[portfolio_slideshow]Eric Clapton has always been a fan of the Ferrai 512BB Supercar. He has owned three over the years. This latest car is inspired by the 512 Berlinetta Boxer, with other cues taken from the Ferrari 458 Italia.
The engine in the SP12 (Special Project) is the 458’s 4.5-litre V8 rather than a flat-12 as in the 512 BB. The car features a two-tone red and black paint scheme styled from the 512 BB. the car is part of the One-off Ferrari programme and has cost 3m.
