Honda’s Civic Tourer, has already picked up its first silverware on track this season
The cars are raced by the Honda Yuasa Racing team in the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, this week the team’s drivers found a new way to push the car to its limits.
Top drivers Matt Neal and Gordon ‘Flash’ Shedden were challenged to see how many of their BTCC trophies they could fit inside a road-going version of the ultra-spacious Civic Tourer, one of Honda’s Best Cars ever.
Filling the Civic Tourer’s large 624 litre boot and flat-folding the rear Magic Seats, to extend the load bay to a class-leading 1,668 litres. 102 trophies were then squeezed in. The combination of Neal and Shedden’s on track performances have resulted in wins of more than 96 BTCC races, with a massive haul of over 110 trophies.
