Stunning art installation, inspired by Jaguar design, takes pride of place at Clerkenwell Design Week on the 21-23 May 2013
The Installation was created by Royal College of Art students in conjunction with the Jaguar Advanced Design team. the winning design was selected from nine exceptional entries submitted by RCA students to Jaguar Advanced Design. To produce the art installation it pushed the students’ creativity to the limits and introduced them to the processes and complexities involved in bringing ideas to life within a global design studio.
[portfolio_slideshow]A stunning new art installation, inspired by Jaguar design and created by Royal College of Art students Ewan Gallimore and Claire Miller, was unveiled to an exclusive audience at the opening of the Clerkenwell Design Week, which runs in London from 21–23 May 2013.
The installation was created by RCA students in association with Jaguar’s Advance Design team in Whitley, Coventry, using many of the technologies and facilities employed in the creation of Jaguar concept cars and production designs.

Clerkenwell is the UK’s leading independent design festival. In 2011 Jaguar presented the
C-X75 concept car design story and in 2012 skilled modelers showcased their skill by working on the Jaguar C-X16 clay model. For 2013 Jaguar wanted to create something bespoke for the event which highlighted artistic nature of vehicle design and the importance of inspiring fresh new talent to join this exciting and challenging industry.
The Jaguar F-TYPE was recently awarded the title of 2013 World Car Design of the Year. It was selected ahead of 42 rivals by the 66 international World Car of the Year jury members.
