The F-Type Project 7 is the fastest and most powerful production Jaguar to date.

The new car made its first public dynamic debut in front of the crowds at the Le Mans Classic Race on the 4-6 July.

The Le Mans inspired F-Type has been built by the new special operations division at Jaguar to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the Jaguar D-Type and the seven wins that Jaguar has had over the years.

At the event the D-Type entered by Gary Pearson and journalist Chris Harris won an overall victory in Grid 3 for cars from the years 1967-1961. The exciting new Project 7  was shown off with some demonstration laps throughout the event alongside the very first D-Type and some F-type R Coupés.

At the Le Mans classic many Jaguars were racing but the highlight was the winning D-Type sportscar.

The F-Type Project 7 is a super fast two seater roadster, built with an all aluminium construction, combined with bespoke cargo fibre aerodynamic aids. With its unique suspension, 80kg weight loss and 575PS power output the driving experience will be dynamic and focused. To top it off Carbon Ceramic Brakes, torque vectoring by braking and a fabulous race inspired interior are standard.

The new JLR Special Operations is an exciting new skunkworks division within the company. Its task to create high performance products, vehicle personalisation and Limited Edition High Value models for Jaguar and Land Rover. The Project 7 is the first of these special limited editions, deliveries will start from the middle of 2015.
