There is a new addition to to the Porsche Cayenne range. The New Cayenne GTS.
This new Cayenne GTS add more scovilles to the equation of the most sporting SUV. A more powerful engine , more dynamic power delivery, tauter chassis and an overall lower ride. The car features an uprated 4.8 litre V8 based on the Cayenne S with delivery through the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, utilising start/stop. This combination has been tuned to deliver a new level of sportiness. The Cayenne GTS launches from a standing start to 62mph in 5.7 seconds, reaching 100 mph in 13.3 seconds. With a top speed of 162mph, combined fuel consumption is 26.4mpg.
I really struggled with the Cayenne looks in the early days but now the Cayenne GTS clearly announces its hot sporty feel in a more focussed way, features include the Cayenne Turbo styled front end. Added details include a distinctive roof twin wing roof spoiler, prominent side skirts with wider wheel arches, high-gloss window surrounds and trims.
Driving the new Cayenne GTS, the ambience of the new sporty cockpit finished in leather and alcantara with new style sport seats, SportDesign steering wheel and paddle shift enhances this new model further.
Outside the chassis settings have been tweaked to raise the dynamic ability, more taut suspension equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The body is 24mm lower, making the onroad drive more composed and the vehicle more agile.
The Cayenne GTS is on sale in the UK from July 2012 starting from £67,147. Porsche fit a sophisticated vehicle security package approved to Thatcham Category 5 as standard on the Cayenne GTS.
All customers will also be able to explore the potential of their car with a complimentary day at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.
