VW technology guides
Cars are becoming more and more complex, more buttons, more electronic aids, more switches. With this baffling complexity, a series of online magazines have been released by Volkswagen to demystify the VW Technology used in their cars.
Each edition is available online as a pdf. They examines a different aspect of vehicle technology, from the MQB platform, through tyres and precious metals to cabriolet roof mechanisms. The latest Via Vision has just been published, and is now available to view and download.
Not just for geeks they are written in an easy to digest format with graphic illustrations, pull-out facts and a foreword by the Volkswagen Group’s Head of Research and Development, Dr Ulrich Hackenberg, Via Vision provides a simple guide to the world of Volkswagen.
Topics covered so far in 2012 are: Brakes, Nanotechnology, the MQB platform, Autonomous driving, Car connections (and how automotive companies are related), Convertibles, Aerodynamics and Tyres.
