Black Edition starts at £39,160, on sale 1st October
Top-spec trim adds heated seats, upgraded stereo and panoramic roof
Builds on Karoq Sportline Edition spec with more equipment
Skoda has launched a top-spec Black Edition trim for the Skoda Karoq range, as it celebrates building the one millionth version of its popular family SUV. The Black Edition trim takes the current range-topping Karoq SportLine Edition as a base, but adds new design touches and equipment as standard.
As the name implies, the Karoq Black Edition adopts a host of black design extras including 19-inch Vega alloy wheels, roof rails, door mirrors and a black radiator grille. Even the Skoda and Karoq lettering on the tailgate has been given a black makeover, while buyers can only choose monochrome exterior colours.
Inside, there’s Sportline Suite leather seats, a panoramic glass sunroof and black headlining. An LED interior light package, heated front and rear seats and tri-zone climate control are also included, as is Skoda’s Canton sound system. Full LED Matrix headlights are standard plus Dynamic chassis control and Progressive steering.

Skoda Karoq Black Edition price, engines and release date
The Karoq Black Edition goes on sale on 1st October, with the first cars reaching customers just in time for the end of the year. Prices start at £39,160 for cars with a 150PS 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a six-speed manual gearbox, while a seven-speed DSG version costs from £40,610.
A 190PS 2.0 TSI petrol comes with a seven-speed DSG and all-wheel drive as standard, priced from £45,355. A 150PS 2.0 TDI diesel with a seven-speed DSG and all-wheel drive costs from £46,035.
Skoda Karoq Black Edition rivals
The Karoq is a small family SUV, meaning there's lots of competition around. That includes the likes of the Ford Puma which is cheaper than the Karoq if you go for its Black Package version while the Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai N Design are competitive.
