What warranty do Smart Approved Used cars come with?
Approved Used Smart models come with a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty that covers your car for everything except wear and tear items. The cover also pays you £50 towards a hire car for every day yours is off the road.
Is there MOT cover with Approved Used Smarts?
Smart will pay up to £750 towards MOT work needed in the car's first year in your ownership.
Is there an inspection with Approved Used Smarts?
All Smart cars on the Approved Used scheme go through a rigorous multi-point inspection before they go on sale.
Do Smart Approved Used cars come with a history check?
All Smart cars on the Approved Used programme come with a history check that verifies the car's mileage and checks that it has never been written off, stolen or has any outstanding finance against it.
Is there an exchange policy with Approved Used Smarts?
If there's a problem with your approved used Smart, you can return it within 30 days/1000 miles of purchase and have the car replaced for a model of a similar value free of charge.

Smart is owned by Mercedes' parent company Daimler AG, however the car's main components – its engine, gearbox and chassis – are unique to Smart.
The Smart Fortwo is great if you need a car for the city and don't need more than two seats. Its tiny size means you'll get parked almost anywhere and it's as cheap as chips to run. That said, head onto the motorway and you'll find it's slow and susceptible to crosswinds.
The original Smart car – the Smart Fortwo – was conceived as an urban mobility solution. It's so small, it can park perpendicular to the kerb, its tiny engine means it costs nothing to run and, because it's mounted in the back, it's out of the way of the front wheels lending the Smart an incredibly tight turning circle.
